Most of the aesthetic values are either measured in protected area system or some waht to similiar setting. Most researchers have used revelaed price especially concerning with tourism. Some places do not possess tourist attraction and if such place has to estimate esthetic value, is there practical way to measure on it?
There is a difference between aesthetic values (e.g. beauty, ugliness, elegance, attractiveness, inspirationality, appeal) and the economic or social value of something that has aesthetic value. You can put a price on beautiful artwork or attractive real estate but price itself is not an aesthetic value (nor does it correlate well with aesthetic value). Is what you are asking for some distinctive aesthetic properties that might be used to characterize Chure Nepal or are you are asking for some way of determining the potential economic/social value (benefit) of Chure Nepal in virtue of such aesthetic properties (or both)?
Thank you Karl for your suggestion. Chure is fragile mountain and I want to estimate their positive aesthetic value. I mean beauty and attractiveness and how much it can potential economic contribution to local level people? Most of the aesthetic valuation work is concentrated in protected area system but this is not a purely protected area and no tourist records are available. So, if you and is there any particular literature may be helpful.

This is correct. I argue that values are essentially subjective, simply because there would be no values without a subject for whom something is a value. This is not "relativism", because there normally is a consensus among people about what is good (beautiful) and what is evil (ugly). But consensus does not transform values into something objective which can be measured in an exact way. On the other hand, the economic evaluation of something that is considered valuable (beautiful) by consensus, is a matter of business rather than of aesthetics.
Thank you very much for the suggestion. Could you please refer aesthetic or bequest valuation measurement in the area other than protected area (PA) system? Since PA is easily measured due to tourism expenditure or travel cost method but in other community based forest management area, where tourism is not a good indicator. If you have any recent, rlevant literature would be helpful to me.
Dear Ram you should come to Greece we have aesthetic valuation figured out!!! Just joking of course - its difficult! And its a great question you asked. Ok we did this comparing many protected areas (400+ in Greece) by expert judgement and designation status (sites of outstanding natural beauty). Have a look (attached) and then visit us in Greece anyway...
