Hello everybody,
I want to disperse CNTs in the VE matrix without using any solvent. As CNT is hydrophilic and VE is hydrophobic, they are not compatible. Do you know the simplest way to modify CNTs particles and disperse them in VE resin? I tried to do it without any dispersing agent and modification, the results were not successful!

Dear all, there many possibilities in dispersing CNT in polymeric matrix, where according to literature, sonication is the most widely used method, however care must be taken regarding intensity and time, otherwise degradation will took place, and what is gained by fiber reinforcing is lost by matrix deterioration. Other important point is the use of fiber sizing and coupling agents provide further benifits to the composite. Please have a look at the following documents. My Regards
