I need to calculate the size of crystallites through Scherrer equation based on x-ray diffraction data. However, this is done by the line broadening at half the maximum intensity (FWHM) of the most intense peak. In the cellulose II diffraction pattern, two peaks (100) and (020) overlap, widening the base of the peak (figure). How do you recommend that I make this estimate? Through deconvolution for example? Are there other alternatives?
