One of the applications of the vinyl esters is aggulinating unidirectional carbon fibres to form a CFRP composite laminate. These CFRP laminates are generally find as a smoothed surface reinforcing materials. These laminates are conventionally bond, firmly, using "epoxy resins" to substrate material, e.g. concrete. However, in order of substituting epoxy resins with vinyl ester resins, what would be the best way (e.g. chemically) to increse the bonding strength of the new vinyl ester, to the solid old surface?
