I am preparing a VMD setup on a lab scale. As you know, VMD needs a vacuum pump.

However, there are many types of the vacuum pumps such as:

• rotary vane vacuum pumps.
• diaphragm vacuum pumps.
• liquid ring vacuum pumps.
• scroll vacuum pumps.
• turbomolecular vacuum pumps
• wet (lubricated) or dry (oil free or dry running)

What type of vacuum pump are you using in the VMD setup?
