Basically, should we clean the surface after 2 propanol ? Or just 2 propanol and do the coating over it ?

Any surface treatment for metal surface prior to coating process depends on ; type of;the metal, the coating, and coating method, so to give you useful answer, you must give more details

Treatment with 2-propanol is just before applying the coating layer, so you should fully clean the surface before. Please remember, this treatment is to increase the surface wettability by forming OH group on the metallic surface.

Thank you for the answer. I need this information for coating application on carbon steel. I check the property of the 2-propanol and its flammable. I am looking for environmental friendly way. Do have any experience/information about water plasma treatment?
