I don't know if you want to quantify the different MMPs or if you are just looking for an overall value, but in later case we sometimes use the WOUNDCHECK(TM) Protease Status to detect and confirm an elevated protease activity in a chronic wound. It's fast, easy to use and not too expensive.

Actually, I need to quantify the different between wound receive only standard of care and other wound treated by collagen based matrix and see the significant. Any other test or technique beside the WOUND CHECK(TM)?

You also may use gelatin zymography but you will detect MMP-2 and -9.
