I am conducting a research in food manufacturing sectors in Sudan to assess the impact of TQM practices on quality & innovation performance. Also in the same context Iwould like to prove that the TQM-certified organizations can outperform the non-certified ones. what is the statiical method to make comparison between the two groups.?

The choice of a suitable statistical method will depend on the properties of the variables you are using and also the level of rigor you consider appropriate.
1) You could use a t-test approach to examine if TQM certified firms outperform their non-certified counterparts.
2) You can also use discriminant analysis or logistic regression to elucidate on the exact nature of the differences between the two groups.

Regression models can be prepared or SEM can be conducted in which multi-group analysis can indicate in which group effect is more on performance
I shall suggest you a practical step, which i follow in my organization (foundry) in TPM /TQM small group activity evaluations
If your Quality & Innovation Performance (QIP) is in interval / ratio scale data, you can use t-test to compare the difference between 2 groups i.e. TQM-certified organizations vs non-certified ones on QIP. If your QIP is in ordinal scale data, you can use Mann–Whitney U test.
Just make sure you have larger samples to perform SEM analysis. If you dont have larger samples use the PLS method where normality assumption is not necessary.
However, Before you start doing anything, you must define your parameters or variables that you need to make inferences about.
