Hello everyone,

Actually I am trying to extract bacterial genomic DNA from cheese. I am using isolate II genomic DNA kit. Sometimes it gives good results but sometimes I don't get anything. This lack of reproducibilty is a real struggle since I need to do many extractions. Proteins and lipids seem to be the main problem. Before starting, I do one centrifugation at 4°C, 12 000g for 5min to eliminate the fatty fraction but it does not remove it entirely. Could anyone give me some tips to perform it or a good protocol? I olso need reliable centrifugation parameters to remove lipids.
