Or you can do thiol protection depending upon your requirements.

@syzada Firdausiah you can use a Sn based catalyst for your reaction which can give you good yield. Because if you do your reaction simply by ethylene glycol you will get less amount yield due to reversibility of the reaction. So my suggestion is that Sn based catalyst which will give you a good yield.
