Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) is one of the key soil properties, because of its influence on plant growth, water holding capacity, soil structure and soil fertility. Vis–NIR soil spectra is the commonly used method to predict SOC with multivariate calibrations. The question is, what is the most powerful multivariate calibration method for predicting SOC with the spectral library using R?
