I have Cochliobolus sativus pathogen and i want to do the pathogenecity test on wheat and there are many methods to do it in the references, can any one tell the best way to do it.
There 's no one best method and you should choose different assays, in order to study your population (you probably have many strains of this pathogen). We have been working on Fusarium verticillioides on maize testing pathogenicity of 181 strains and results are published in Mycoscience 54 (2013) 285-290. I hope this suggestion can be useful for you
Am in agreement with Ebrahim's suggestion. Trials with various strains in simulated conditions as close as possible to natural environment of the pathogen-host complex shall be rewarding.
