We are currently working on designing suspension for our next formula style race car. How can we optimize our previous geometry so that vehicle handling is improved as well as unsprung mass is reduced? What will be the steps to be followed?
I would to suggest you read this article:
1. Physical modeling and dynamic simulation of off-road vehicles and natural environments by benoit chanclou and annie luciani
2. modeling and analysis of static and dynamic characteristics of nonlinear seat suspension for off-road vehicles
Maybe you might get some ideas on your issues
Thank you for your kind suggestions.
