For EBSD analysis electropolishing has to be done for reflective surfaces and proper study.

Electropolishing is not always necessary, you can also get good quality with OPS (colloidal silica) polishing.

First, however, you need to get a flat surface (i.e. no scratches) with regular grinding and polishing, which does not seem to be the case, by look at your picture.

First point- your sample should be flat as already mentioned by Mr Tijimen Vermeji

Second point- You have to start polishing using emery papers from 500 grit size to 5000 grit size followed by cloth polishing using diamond paste (0.5-0.25 microns).

While doing cloth polished, use kerosene as a lubricant.

Surely you can get good mirror polished surface for EBSD analysis.

Note: Make sure after cloth polishing clean thoroughly with ethanol using ultrasonicator.
