Does someone know a good method for the detection of phosphorilated compounds in GC/MS (untarget approach).
I have an Agilent GC/MS 7890A coupled with a single quadrupole 5975C, column HP-5MS.
I'd like to know some tips about fron inlet and ion source temperatures and oven temperature.

Hi Laura, does your GC have an NCI (Negative Chemical Ionization) source? If so, I'd try this mode. Regarding inlet, ionsource and oven temperature I would start with standard conditions (e.g. inlet temperature = 280°C, oven temperature (gradient from 50°C up to 280°C) ).
if you have biological samples for sure prior to GCMS you need methoxymated samples at room temperature for 16hours with 30 μl of 15mg/ml methoxyamine in pyridine plus 30 μl MSTFA with 1%TMS-Cl for 1 h. High mass ranges compounds will not be detected. Then try EI positive ion, ion source temp. 250 °C start from 230 °C injector splitless, and 70 °C to 330 °C max ramp 6 °C /min.
