To remove ammonia from a film you may rinse polyaniline with acid. This will alter its conductive and optical properties. If your synthesis used a specific acid for coordination then rinse with the same acid. If you are making a film you can add the polymer to a glass slide and allow it to sit until the ammonia evaporates. Low heat (~35°C) may speed the evaporation process without damaging the film.
