I'm looking at nascent young entrepreneurs and can't find in published paper which age group reflects 'young entrepreneurs' any suggestions ?
I need to justify the 'selected sample age' in the methodology chapter?
I received few comments on why this age of group!! So i'm seeking some help in that regards

To justify the selected sample age the best way is to define the target group. In your case it is ‘young entrepreneurs’. Young means ‘youth’. An entrepreneur should have certain traits like: flexibility, adaptability towards change, self-confidence, creative ideas, planning, organizing etc. These traits are common in ‘young age group’. In India in the year 1979, a major scheme was introduced for the non-student youth i.e., Training of Rural Youth for Self Employment(TRYSEM) which was applied in rural areas with both male and female, between the ages of 18 to 35 years(Ray,2011).

just use this simple rule of thump:
First. Identify the population of interest. Know who they are. Get some idea of its characteristics. You may ask the expert if there is no statistical data to support.
second: Just design the sampling according to population characteristics. The idea is that, the sample must represent the population
I agree with Ahmad. Furthermore, I believe that the definition of "young" changes from a country to another one on the basis of the age structure of the population that you are studying. For instance, in Italy we will say that a manager who is 50 years old, is a young manager, but I have serious doubts that a 50 years old manager will be considered young in the U.S.

Based on my opinion, you have to firstly decide on the target sample type, probably infer this based on your research question. In definition nascent entrepreneurs don't necessarily have to be 'young'. Since you have begun your question with this inference, I would advise you to define young. In my case, everyone under 30 is young, reason being our Singaporean graduates enter the workforce at the average age of 25 (first honours). But this isn't the case in the UK or other countries such as India or China.
So, I think you will probably need to define the qualitative aspects of your research question. Maybe you could define age groups in a likert scale.You will then know what to really look for. Every research begins with some form of initial inference, or a hunch, if you may. You then refine this question and proceed to see if what you have hypothesized is true or not... right?
