I have access to a helicopter and I'd like to figure out the best way to estimate abundance of a resident mouflon/sheep hybrid population in Hawaii. Any go-to papers for this?

Thanks Miha. The study will occur on Military Land and the US Army does not allow civilian contractors to operate drones in their airspace. Otherwise that would be ideal!
