What is the audit of Antepartum hemorrhage? There are 2 concepts in your posted question: audit and antepartum bleeding. Audit means appraise or evaluate. Antepartum hemorrhage means bleeding during pregnancy. Diagnosis of Antepartum hemorrhage depends on the onset of bleeding. First trimester bleeding is due to abortion and ectopic pregnancy. Second trimester bleeding is due to H-mole and incompetent cervix. Last trimester bleeding is due to placenta previa and abruptio.
The audit of Antepartum hemorrhage includes Individual demographic profile, ADL (activities of daily living), support system, Medical history, Obstetric History, modifiable, and non-modifiable risk factors, Antepartal Care, availability and accessibility to health care resources and services, and health legislation.
Wishing you and your family all the best, more power and success, and be blessed with love, peace, joy, good health, and prosperity, and with what your heart desires. Happy new year

Antepartal hemorrhage audit should include pre-pregnancy maternal health status and evaluations as ABO and RH factor analysis, stratifying women with hemoglobinopathies, coagulopathies, and and blood conditions such as von Willebrand disease, thrombocytopenia, uterine abnormalities as in birconuate uterus, etc, etc. During pregnancy, auditing clinic visits compliance, first trimester mandatory work-ups, normal weight gain and blood pressure manitenance throughout pregnancy especially in the 3rd trimester.
