I am working on neurodegeneration animal models, where i see that nerve cell count is CA1 region decreases drastically as compared to Sham. When proteins stain cell bodies, I quantify them in terms of %positive cells. Some proteins stain just the periphery of the cell body, where neither i can go with %positive cell count nor OD using ImageJ.
