The scientists devoted to research find it very difficult to extract time for his/ her spouse.
In many cases, they may fail to follow the promise to allot time for spouse or family members.
So starting of work- family conflict is just become a matter of time.
The scientists have to compromise either with science or with family.
So he/ she have to lose some important aspects of family life or science may loss activity of a good worker.
Keeping balance in both sides is very difficult.
Do you think it is better for a dedicated scientist not to marry? Or if marry, the relation should be like Mr. and Mrs. Curie?
For me personally, Family always comes first. I know others who devote a lifetime to science. Some live and never die because of the great legacies they leave behind through their children and their good deeds while others die as if they have never lived.
I personally think scientist are more dedicate to research than spouse especially if you have a spouse who does not believe in or support your course of action. Great scientist like Albert Einstein lost his wife and had to remarry some who share his vision.
I THINK ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE A MUST AND SHOULD BE IN EQUILIBRIUM.
UNTIL AND UNLESS WE HAVE HARMONY IN SYSTEM,IT IS DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE BIG TARGETS.
SIMPLE EXAMPLE,I THINK MOST OF US HAVE WITNESSED SEVERAL TIMES.
THE DAY ON WHICH YOU HAVE ANY ARGUMENT WITH YOUR WIFE OR WORD WAR WITH KIDS OR ANY OFFICIAL DISTURBANCE,IT IS HARD TO CONCENTRATE ON OUR WORK.
SO THIS MEANS TO HAVE ALL GOOD,CONGENIAL AND HARMONIC ENVIRONMENT IS NEEDED AND IT IS POSSIBLE ONLY ALL THESE THINGS ARE IN GOOD LIASIONING.
Work addiction can affect one's own life. It involves the exclusion of other activities, including spending time with family, which is essential for any healthy and happy relationship. When there is tension in the relationship as a spouse is addicted to work, both spouses may become stressed and less supportive of one another, which may lead to negative behaviors.
See the balance between work and family life in the United States, thanks to technical advances, those who work outside the home and are on time can find a way to communicate with their families when they can not come with them themselves. Cellular phones, wireless Internet and smart gadgets such as BlackBerry have made family and loved ones just around the corner. Keeping the balance in both sides not difficult, it is a matter of time management, you need to organize your life and time in a way you can fulfill your obligation, don't make your didection to something you interested in an excuses ! in such case it becomes a selfishness.

IF WE DO ONE THING IN EXCESS EITHER IT IS WORK OR EATING SURPLUS,IT MAKES REST OF THE SYSTEM DISPROPRTIONATE.
What is the answer of that dilemma? Who is more important to a dedicated scientist, family or research?
Both are important and each should be given required time.....depends on person how he or she handle the value of both....

The Scientists have discovered that the choice they make in this scenario could have a drastic impact on the trust that people believe they have.
The findings may help explain why humans are often attracted to moral choices that do not benefit the greater good, such as refusing to make such sacrifices.
If he/she is a workaholic and a passionate scientist, and if he/she is likely to ignore the family, it would be better for him not to marry in terms of not to harm his wife and the child to be born. If he/she believes that he/she can balance between, then it can be married, and happy marriage can increase success.
Family if you have a family !!!
Else , research if that forms your family !!!

It is difficult to give an unambiguous answer to the question of the author of this topic. Everyone must make decisions on their own. It is very important to be aware that scientific research, scientific work, can take any time, including the one for the family. For me, it is important to keep discipline in organization of time, there is time for research and for the family - although sometimes there is to less time for sleeping. Well, day has only 24 hours.
