What meant by AuNRs with an optical density 50? How to calculate or measure it, Can a spectrophotometer measure an OD 50 (I think it is very concentrated!)?
And also 50 OD at the which peak, Transverse or longitudinal surface plasmon resonance?

The OD is the log of the ratio of the incident light to the transmitted light at a given wavelength. Generally, the OD will be given for the primary peak of a structure. A higher OD, means a higher concentration, so this is a way to quantify how concentrated your sample it. Yes an OD of 50 is quite concentrated and I think it would be difficult for the spectrometer to measure it. However, you can take a diluted sampled compared to the stock sample to get the OD and extrapolate what the OD should be based on the dilution ratio.
