To mz knowledge, there is no direct synthesis of the base (because aniline is not easy to polymerise if not under acidic conditions). One would probably have to go completely different synthesis way, I don't know. (would be interesting to see)

For every oxidation there is oxidation potential, which is achieved by meeting few conditions. You will be able to get direct polyaniline. This will be accompanied by other products.
Best will be synthesizing by using horseradish enzyme/bacteria.
