I am looking to perform some BET/BJH tests on historic cement samples which have been ground up to a fine powder. Currently, I have used vacuum-oven drying at 105 C but am concerned this may be quite a harsh way of drying the powder. Having read around the literature D-Drying appears to be a relatively well regarded technique, however I am struggling to find an explanation of the method? So far I have found a schematic that looks like a moisture trap but with little other explanation...
Any advice would be appreciated
