Hello everyone,
I am wondering what the best inducible expression system is for mammalian cells. Various companies offer their own inducible expression system for mammalian cells, but is one preferred over another? They're all supposed to be based on Tetracyclin induction, but all variants seem to differ slightly.
Also, does anyone know of a third party (i.e. a company) that can provide specific viral constructs to overexpress your gene of interest?

Hi Martijn,
I am not a mammalian expert, but I am working with tetracyclin inducible promoter systems (actually now Doxycyclin in the newer variants). Like always, it will depend on the application you have in mind. Some systems induce expression, but there are also systems that can silence expression. I would suggest that unless you find some serious complaints online about a certain system, just select the one that comes in the easiest "package" for your specific research.
