I'm looking for an easy and verstile method to synthesize silicon nanoparticles ranging from 20 to 50 nm. Has anyone worked on ever?would you disclose materials and experimental procedure?
firstly I suggest you, to be more specific in your question so that people can respond well, as suggested Dr.Schmitt.
if you want to synthesised SiO2 NPs, I will suggest going through well known modified Stober's method.
I'll suggest you follow this method given in below publication, here we have synthesised the particles and mentioned the detail. one more key point you have to remember for controlling the size either you can add some surfactant or you during synthesis process you can opt to little high temperature and the sonication during the initial stage, it will reduce the particle size.

The question is crystal clear, I'm looking for synthesis of Si nano particles which is written as silicon. Have i mentioned silicon dioxide? No, I have mentioned silicon which is Si. I think researchers haven't read the question carefully.
