It seems that the forecasting is a quite difficult enterprise. Models could be developed that fit quite well past data, but there is no guaranty that the future would behave in the same manner. In this regard, It would be interesting to go through the paper attached.

It is frustrating of how many regulations prevent the use of radioisotopes. Low levels of radiation can actually be beneficial. Imagine if we could use small radiolytic electrochemical cells in everyday products. Cell phones with batteries that last 10 years. Amazing satellites radiation hormesis sauna! (Not to mention the common medical and industrial uses for these things)
So to project how valuable a nuclear fission product will be cannot be done. The entrepreneurs in this space have much work to do, and demand will grow.
