Hello everyone,

I am willing to simulate(ABAQUS) the process of implanting a prosthesis in a hip bone. This process generates stress around the implanted zone, with some elements surpassing the yield stress of the material(bone). However, bone is a viscoelastic material that can stress-relax almost entirely in a period of 24 hours. Thus, if a load is applied after complete relaxation, the stress that bone undergo is smaller as if it is loaded right the hip is implanted.

Until now, I have been able to simulate the implantation process. However, I have been struggling to find a method to relax the material so that I can load it afterwards in a static mode. Although I have seen some simulations of material relaxation, they have all been dynamic and there's input information about the material relaxation under certain time. Nevertheless, I don't have this input data, which is why I am looking for an alternative using static simulation.

Please let me know if you require more information about it and I'll kindly engage in a conversation.
