Here is a simple and effective Extraction Method for Polyphenols is using Aqueous Ethanol as the solvent.
o Air-dry the plant material under shade
o Grind to a coarse powder
o Prepare 70% ethanol (30% water)
o Mix 10 g of powdered plant material with 100 mLof 70% ethanol.
o Shake gently or place on an orbital shaker for 12–24 hours at room temp Filter through muslin cloth or Whatman filter paper.
