What is a good replacement for trypan blue to quench green flourescence?

I am treating my cells with AF488 (green fluorescent dye) tagged tau fibrils and want to use a quencher to quench any signal coming from fibrils attached to the outside of the live cells. What is a good alternative for trypan blue that will not be toxic to the cells?
