I am conducting biofilm assays, more specifically biofilm inhibition and biofilm disruption. The pathogens that I'm working on are Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. I have read some articles in which the authors used uninoculated broth as a positive control. But, a positive control should be something that inhibits formation of biofilm/disrupts preformed biofilm. Any suggestions?
