I think Bronfembrenner's theory can be applied in this area because it focuses on transactional relations between Process (e.g., parenting style), Person (individual differences), Context (e.g., Socio-economic status, and Time; (PPCT).

In addition to descriptions and explanations, PPCT theory emphasizes on modification, and focuses on the whole person not just cognitive or social and psychological system.

So to develop any ability or establish any positive change in children, all of these four components should be considered.

@Vedvyas, I am not aware of inventor of this process evolution, however the earlier attached is a case work on NEPS's intervention, how it evolved through a consultative process of stake holders. This is an application of educational psychology process.

Too often, child psychology refers to the assessment and treatment of children with problems either clinical or socially deficient.  Educational Psychology casework fills a niche by offering children who are struggling in their social roles and academic achievement because of their abilities to succeed.  When managing classrooms, teachers must deal with the class as a class.  The individuals who lie outside either end of normal curve may experience social issues.
