Hello everyone,
I’m just getting started with my new lab and currently setting up a patch-clamp rig, with a particular interest in single-channel recordings.
I’m fairly confident about most of the equipment I need, but I’m facing a challenge in choosing the right inverted microscope—mainly due to a very limited budget.
Here are the main requirements I need the microscope to meet ( if you have some others, please, don't hesitate to let me know):
1) Very low electrical noise, so ideally it should have an external power supply.
2) Fluorescence capability (for GFP), including the appropriate filters.
3) As affordable as possible.
I’d be really grateful for any suggestions you can share—whether specific models, configurations, or other considerations I might be overlooking.
Thank you so much for your valuable help!
