Hello, i am going to write my dissertation and i am confused in review of literature and discussion part. Please tell me what is the difference in between them.
The literature review is the introduction of your topic, what you intend to do, how the literature relates to your topic, and your hypotheses. The discussion focuses on reasons for your results and whether you answered your questions, with minimal citations, since your results are what we're interested in :)
In writing the review of literature , first you need to consult some previous research work related to your work . Then you would review them by given them due recognition by citation e g . According to David (2011) .This will help you know what have been said in the on the given phenomenon you are working upon.
Secondly, other discussion under literature review refers to related subtopics as concern the the main Research topic. Please try to look for sample of thesis or Project for details and guide .Thank you
Writing the "Review of Literature" and "Discussion" sections of your dissertation is a crucial part of the research process. These sections are:
Review of Literature:
Introduction
Organizational Structure
Inclusion Criteria
Summarize and Synthesize
Identify Gaps
Cite and Reference
Discussion:
Introduction
Interpretation
Implications
Limitations
Future Research
Conclusion
Link to Research Questions
Avoid Repetition
Remember that the "Review of Literature" and "Discussion" sections should be well-structured, logically organized, and written in a clear, scholarly manner. They should also demonstrate your critical thinking, synthesis of information, and the depth of your understanding of the subject matter. It's often helpful to seek feedback from your advisor or committee members as you work on these sections of your dissertation.
