For my dissertation i am looking at digital history and digital engagement and how this has been effected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Any help with this research would be greatly appreciated.
You can watch how the Covid crisis has accelerated innovation for heritage sites.
In terms of communication: 1) the websites have been enriched in order to maintain a link with future visitors. You can base your analyse on the works related to the enrichment of the value of a tourist offer.
2) The sites have been able to exploit the absence of visits to communicate on the "return to nature" and the tourist under exploitation (under tourism) which is new and can revive the interest of a site, which was in tourist overload (over tourism) like Venice.
In terms of consumer behavior: you can analyse how consumers see their future site visits in a few months. Does the enrichment of the site's value motivate him to actually visit the heritage site? Is it helpful to discover new sites ?
