We plan to record and stream video from lectures (room for 20 students, one teacher with notebook connected to data projector). Can you recommend hardware for capturing voice of teacher and students and video of teacher and image from data projector? We do not need to record teacher and signal from data projector separately. Do you have experience with special hardware for capturing and streaming of lectures?
I would recommend Mediasite components and software for lecture capture. The company is based in Wisconsin. Kaltura is another great media tool for lecture capture ...works well with D2L.

I recommend the Yeti Blue microphone which can pick up multiple directions of audio (lecturer and students).
Video is harder. For some a simple HD webcam is useful, but wont suit everyone's space.
Streaming lectures usually requires software that has been provided by the university (like Echo 360). Of course there are other tools like Google Hangouts which can stream video of lecturer or screen and webinar/virtual classroom programs which stream both (Adobe Connect).
Ive used both the Echo 360 and Mediasite, and both work well, but if the university doesnt keep up the contract you will easily lose all of your captured lectures. I'm finding it better these days to just get my own camera (liike the GoPro or an HD Logitech camera - neither is very expensive) and then capture and edit my lecture using Camtasia. That way I keep all of my Mp4 files and they dont get "lost".
I agree with Curtis that Camtasia is a great product (and will capture web cam and screen simultaneously) if you cant rely on the university providing it (as they may change their minds after three years because of licencing cost changes).

I use Camtasia or Explain Everything. Camtasia is good for powerpoints and can get you a picture in picture outcome. You can also do a lot of post production, adding in callouts, zooming in, stretching video. If you need something easy - and you are a decent lecturer, explain everything on an iPad is really easy to use. I have been using this more recently. I've heard great feedback with Camtasia as Matthias Pleil explained. I would definitely look into that route.
Both Camtasia and Echo 360 will do a good job. The problem with both of them is that, although they capture audio and the slides used (and perhaps if you are lucky anything used on a visualiser) they do not capture demonstrations of resources (e.g. in my field I use MAB blocks, and unifix cubes, dice etc) and they are limited in capturing student discussion.
I think there are two different styles of producing video conferences,
Some people pretend produce videoconferences and lectures like television, uses profesional video cameras, green screens, lavaliere microphones etc.
In the other hand is the low cost style, using web cams, cheap microphones, screen sharing and/0r screncast software,
Every one have advantages and disadvantages, the firth looks more professional and could be great in certain topics like medicine were image quality is critical.
While the second is more flexible and can be organized by he teachers without any technical support and at a very low cost.
