I'm thinking primarily of "Reads" and "Recommendations". What numbers please you in any given week? Why? You might also identify the numbers that disappoint you.
I am happy when people are reading my uploaded essays, I am glad when they quote and if they recommend my posts, this confirms their interest and if quoting or referring to me, it illustrates their agreement or interest in my opinion. However, I do nat actually count just how many of them recommended or read my posts and articles. So I would not know whether reaching 10 reads a week makes me sad or 20 make me happy. Its' more like: "Oh, people are reading my essays. Nice!" - Thats' it.
I do get a little concerned by the percentage of recommendations in comparison with reads. I'd really like it to be 10% but usually have to settle for around 5%. I think it's because a recommendation suggests someone found something of mine useful. Always an important matter in the academic world.
