In its simplest terms (I may be wrong though, but I think) anti-Semitism usually refers to the hostile or violent behavior exhibited toward Jews for been Jewish. This as such may include the act of stereotyped perceptions and misconceptions, as well as teachings and policies that intends to proclaim Jews as been inferior to others.

Criticism, on the other hand may imply the act of analyzing and judging the merits and or faults of a given analogy, policy, action, etc.

If the above definitions are right, then it would be quite difficult to substantiate why a "reasonable criticism" of the policies of the Jews (the government to be precise) towards their Palestinian neighbors be termed as anti-Semitism.

In as much as the Jewish state has the right to exist, it is equally important to underscore the fact that the Palestinians are humans too - they also have the right to equally exist.

It is important that these two groups put aside their differences and find a meaningful way to co-exist.

It is also important for scholars and commentators on the Israel-Palestine conundrum to be objective in their analysis in order to avoid been labelled as anti-Semitic or pro-Arab - a situation that makes it difficult to command the trust of any of the two sides.
