Digital Transformation belongs to an organization or a nation or both? What are attributes to measure/evaluate a digital transformation? How can sustainable Digital Transformation be attained?
What might be termed the "Digital Ecosystem" has to do with policy and regulatory frameworks, infrastructure, applications, and capacities and skills. (Dimensions of sustainability stem from these.) It follows that digital transformation requires contributions by (and synergies between) both the state and organizations. At the level of the organization, digital transformation per Westerman, Bonnet, and McAfee (2014) has to do with: (a) Framing—How well has the organization framed the digital challenge? (b) Focusing—How well has the organization focused its investment? (c) Mobilizing—How well has the organization been mobilized? and (d) Sustaining—How well is the organization sustaining digital transformation?
