The high symmetry point Gamma is subscripted with the 6,7 and 8.In normal Insulator Gamma 6 is in the conduction band and originates from the s-type band and gamma 8 is in the valence band from the p-type band. it is the opposite in the case of HgTe(Band inversion). it is possible to calculate this 6,7 and 8 from angular momentum values of s and p orbital.
can you please suggest me numerical calculations related to 6, 7, and 8?
