Is it possible to estimate environmental variance as the treatments are unreplicated in ABD. Please provide the SAS code for the estimating hertability from the lines evaluated in Augmented block design.
Look at a paper from Federer that has the code. However, you have to be careful given that the heritability that you will calculate will be only the heritability based on the control (or check) lines, not on the test lines. This is because they are the only ones been replicated, and therefore the only ones that have residual separated from genetic effect. I would be very careful with its interpretation.
