from the point of increasing the RG score

questions

I have started active RG activity in QA section from November, 2017.

Still today, I have asked 156 questions and number of answer is 1920.

For asking question, it requires involvement of more time. For posting answer, time requirement is lesser.

I enjoy both, Q and A.

A good question is priceless sometimes, and requires a substantial preliminary work. A good answer is requiring an appropriate professional level, and some teaching skills.

Both Q&A are an excellent exercise and training.

The Q/A forum is an excellent feature of RG. I like both. However, I personally feel that asking a relevant, appropriate and genuine question is more difficult than answering other's questions. So, far I have posted only 43 questions during the last 3 years. I enjoy answeing questions on diverse aspects as it make me learning and supplement my knowledge.

Good question with analytical answers, as said by RG friends asking a good and thought provoking question requires sufficient home work. Similarly answering some questions requires good knowledge on the topic. Regarding me, I prefer to answer than questioning because many times it inculcate new ideas, finally I am learning and enjoying.

Sometimes it is useful. sometimes it is not. I answered many questions to help others in their research. I got thanks for many of them. I, myself, asked two questions. I got some useful answers forthe first one. Unfortunately, I got NONE for the second.

That's why it may not be useful.

Both, I believe that many researchgate.net professionals are

capable of generating questions, answers, new questions from received input, new answers for new questions, and the cycle of science continues.

The essence of research is question and/or answering, try to identify hypotheses and finding answers through research. In Rgate both questions and answers by researchers should co-exist in simultaneous manner.

I'm asking a question when I have an ambiguity about thing or idea or concept. I give an answer to the questions of my colleges which I feel adding a new idea.

What do you prefer in RG, questions vs. answers?

Either one as long as I think I can contribute. Reason being asking questions enable me to find out answers / opinions from other RG members. Providing answers also enable me to learn how accurate / how good are my answers in helping others.

I like to pose questions as true questions in search of knowledge or answers based on logical arguments and scientific evidence.

Both are important. What is important is to continue to communicate with researchers, stimulate thinking and update information . Warm greetings and best wishes to all researchers in all parts of the world .

RG is a good way for both questions and answers.

Personally, I ask if I want to obtain information about something and I answer, to help the researchers, if I have knowledge about their inquiry.

In research, I have only posed 1 question, relating to my specialty on exponentiality (exponential knowledge automation). In my opinion both questions and answers are important. A researcher asked question out of curiosity to know more in a particular field. However, answers by experts bring up many dimensions of the questions and answer accordingly. It makes research work more collaborative as well as bring more clarity on various topics.

The diversity of opinion in answers has its own importance. The only thing I hate with answers is when one posted comes from Wikipedia or Quora. Honestly, it is possible to tell! But with that one quibble, some answers can be both instructive and witty. Where questions are concerned, I enjoy it when one of mine does well, but often unfortunately the most interesting questions (mine and others) get little response.

I rarely post question but I enjoy giving out answer to question both in my field of on general issue. This helps me to improve my reasoning ability as well as improving my writing skill.

The use of RG must be done in the way that the researcher colleague finds most comfortable in his scientific or social domain. To use only to obtain score values or to try to show an active participation without notion is neither elegant nor ethical. We will keep the platform pleasant, useful and ethical.

Naturally, I will try to answer the question but in the process, I will look at the answers provided by others to see how cogent they are. In other words, I prefer both.
