I am undergoing multiple event study for M&As within one company. I wonder if my estimation period, which is 60 days that I use to calculate the E(r) and alpha and beta, can overlap with another event window and not the one specific to that estimation window itself. So if I have an event in July and take 60 days estimation period before that specific event window to get my E(r) and AR etc. If this estimation period overlaps with a previous event window is that ok?
