COVID-19 is only one of many global hazards that threaten our existence. Past warnings of a pandemic were often ignored, despite mounting evidence that countries needed to prepare for one.
This crisis has given us a huge opportunity to reboot how we view economic growth and to recognize what is important for our survival as a species and for the sustainable development of the planet.
COVID-19 is a wake-up call. It would be a fatal mistake to reach for the snooze button.
I share the opinions of Dr. Shivani Raval and Mr. Endashaw Workie
. The main lesson is that we should be more prepared for future disasters. We need to show more solidarity with other people and nations. We must to pay more attention to the nature. Finally, we should find a right balance between development and security!
I agree with you Sir,@Dr. Vardan Atoyan these is the circumstances which teaches us to be not ours but for we all to protect the planet by these COVID crises.
I cannot agree more with other participants. Covid-19 should help us change the approach to risk mitigation through a systematic and more alert functional way whose priority should be prevention of health disasters. it is also a lesson to the global political environment to desist from politicising all contemporary issues with little understanding of longtime effects to the safety and health of humanity that can ground global economies to a halt.
The actual pandemic of SARS2COV, shows us that the nature especial the wild nature has several big powers as compared with the mankind powers. I am agreed with all authors that had highlighted the need of preparation and prevention for such huge disasters, pandemics and so on. Indeed the man is so small and powerless as compared with Covid 19 or another viruses.
