If any vector like housefly can transmit virus, it's hard to imagine that it may be in a lot of cases. all of us must be carefull with insects every day.
Less commonly, people may become infected with Covid-19 by touching a contaminated surface and then touching their face, hence an Entomologist collecting insects in the field is likely to be at risk. Insects such as the lepidopterans, hymenopteran(e.g honeybees) which are voyagers with hairy body can have traces of the virus on the hair, touching such insects with bare hands and mistakenly touching ones face can transfer the virus. Hence, it is advised to use gloves and forceps while handling insects either for pleasure or experimental purposes.
There's no evidence linking insects to the COVID-19. They are not likely to be vectors of the new coronavirus, so I would say there's no role of insects in the current pandemics.
I close my house to all insects. No more ventilation. Keep doors closed. Communicate by phone with visitors outside. Spray insecticide every day. I do not walk my dogs anymore, which makes my hose quite messy, but everything is better that to to be fatally infected by that one critter. I work at an entomological museum. Vector insect transmit virus like GLH spread tungro virus, BPH spread grassy stunt and ragged stunt viruses but so far, I know, any insect not responsible to transmit Covid-19.

As COVID-19 is an airborne zoonotic disease. So, insects are not directly related to its transmission. Some of the household insects such as flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, bugs could act as mechanical transmitter of the disease indirectly to spread the disease.
Insects do not have a direct or indirect role in the transmission of COVID-19, however, they transmit the the parasites not the virus.

If there was not any publication inform about insect say "mosquito" could transfer corona virus yet that is not an evidence that insect could not transfer corona-19 virus. From now on research will answer. This is just my opinion.
