Analysis of 17 years of current meter records from a microtidal estuary channel showed two anomalous, short-lived (~1hour) periods of high speed, occurring at the changing of the tide (swing between flood and ebb). Have people observed similar processes at other locations? Is this characteristic of a tidal bore?
The remainder of the record is dominated by more typical tidal behaviour.
