Are you producing the hydrogen in a solution from which it's effusing or is it heterogenous catalysis at a solid-gas intergace? In the latter case temperature programmed desorption (TPD) would be a standard method.

Sorry, I am a gas-solid surface guy and the things I can tell you about solution are things you hopefully have already learned yourself.
