What can be done in order to improve the interface adhesion between Al2O3 particles and Fe Cr alloys in process of metal infiltration? is there some difference in the adhesion by using "brown" or "white" alumina?
Unfortunately, practically there is no way to improve "adhesion" between the ceramic particles of Al2O3 and the metal matrix of FeCr. They will work like a composite and the best method to improve mechanical properties is by using mechanical alloying techniques.
In case you promote the reaction with the particles by reduction of the Al2O3 you surely promote the formation of some other oxides inside the alloy by destroying the original perticles.
