I prepare in-house media in Duran glass bottles, and am trying to find a way to seal them to prevent any tampering. I currently use shrink plastics post-sterilisation (either autoclaving or filter sterilisation) but realised that I'm still able to open the cap without destroying the seal.
As these glass bottles are sterilised and reused, the method has to be easily removed, of course, not intact.
Dear Alicia Pang , you could also sterilise your bottle´s caps, they can stand 180ºC, both the cap and the PTFE seal. So your media should be preserved without problem if the cap is properly closed.

Additionally you could seal the cap and neck with Parafilm. It is strechable, easy to apply and remove, doesn´t leave residues and you can even reuse it a few times.
