Good day! I am a journalism student from Bulacan State University and I'm currently conducting a research about the digital preservation of cultural heritage such as ancestral houses in Bulacan, Philippines.
My research aims to digitally preserve the cultural value and history of ancestral houses by uploading articles in a website; providing accessibility and longevity for the cultural heritage structures through the internet.

I'm not sure if I understood well your purpose. Do you want to scan real estate registration, including 3D surveys and heritage listings, with maps, GPS locations, GIS surveys, etc? Or do you want to build a database of articles that study / describe these heritage elements? In that case I do not think there is a problem.
If is the first case, I advise you to contact Fundación el Solà, Fatarella, Spain, because they already have a lot of work done and the director is dedicated to the informatics part of the heritage register.
In this foundation they work with Catalonian vernacular dry stone heritage, but the approach to addopt may be similar. See, for example, the site http://wikipedra.catpaisatge.net/, to which you can access directly or through the foundation's website: http://www.fundacioelsola.org/.

Thank you Ma'am Marta Gonçalves ! I would want to start a website with features like heritage listings and cultural mapping, it would also be an archive of articles about the architectural heritage. I want to see if there are things to avoid in doing this process for the research that might affect its value? I would also want to know what other kinds of digital preservation exists and how does it work? and of course, to find out why is it really important to digitally preserve these cultural heritage structures? One important thing to consider, which I am focusing on, is how you deliver and present such resources. Turning such information accessible online is, with no doubt, of great value, but it doesn't automatically imply any user engagement and increase in perceived relevance.
There'll be a ever growing amount of cultural heritage resources online, competing with all the other information we have at our hands. One of the challenges is to present those resources in a way that they foster user engagement and maintain its relevance to a broader public, instead of just staying statically archived in an online repository. For this, one might have to take lessons from marketing and entertainment. How they use current technologies to deliver content.
Take the http://wikipedra.catpaisatge.net site Marta Gonçalves showed you for example. It is already a very rich and comprehensive source of information on the subject. Its reach could be even bigger if paired with mobile technology, the information is already there. Imagine the information being delivered to people that are close to the structures in the same way your smartphone recommends you restaurants that are nearby.
